April 10, Lenten Lunch service was great. We had music by sisters Barbara Cranford and Martha Gunter. The service was led by Conrad Longfellow and the meditation was delivered by Greenwood District Superintendent, Rev. Rusty Keen, of the Mississippi United Methodist Conference. We have one more lunch this season on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Everyone in invited to join us as our community breaks bread together.

The fifth Lenten Lunch was wonderful. First Baptist Church provided a delicious lunch. Our leader was Phield Parish, a local business man, from Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. The music was by Terry Hill from St Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Matt Alexander gave the message. What a wonderful and blessed day as our community came together to break bread. Join us on Wednesday April 3, and April 17, for the final two week of this Lenten season.

We had another great Lenten Luncheon today. St Joseph was the lunch provider. Sam Maddox was our leader. Ike Trotter provided music for us. Our Speaker was Rev. Carrie Johnson. A big thanks for all these people who made this a great one. We invite everyone to join us at First United United Methodist each Wednesday at 11:30 for a good meal, music and meditation. Our last lunch will be April 17, The meal cost $8.00. Come and bring a friend.

Another good lunch today. First Presbyterian provided the meal today. Mark Kelley from Emmanuel Baptist provides the music and Rev. Bob Sherman did the meditation. Join us next Wednesday at 11:30 for a great meal and Lenten meditation. Everyone is welcome. Com and bring a friend.

Lenten Luncheon was great yesterday. We had a great message from Rev. Tony McDonald of Glen Allan UMC. Lunch provider was Glen Allen UMC. Music was by The Minnebraska Mission group from Nebraska, Minnesota, and South Dakota. Join us each Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:45 for a time of breaking bread together as community. Everyone is welcome.

Lenten Luncheons, hosted by First United Methodist, began today and will continue each Wednesday during Lent. Today Church Women United provided a delicious soup and salad lunch. We had people from throughout our state and other states present to enjoy the meal, music, and meditation for today’s event. Lynda Dickerson from First United Methodist served as leader, Beverly Rives from Southside Baptist Church Benoit, Ms provided the music, and Rev.Johnny Davis from Revels United Methodist Church brought an inspiring message. The public is invited to join us next Wednesday. The cost of the meal is $8.00. The lunch provider chooses a mission for the proceeds. Church Women United’s Mission is a scholar fund for students to go to college.

Greenville First United Methodist Church will be hosting Lenten Luncheons beginning Wednesday March 6 , 2019, and continuing each Wednesday through April 17, 2019. Lunches are $8.00. The proceeds go to a mission project chosen by the lunch provider. The meals are provided by a local church or civic origination who chooses a mission project to support The public is invited to join us each week during the Lenten season. for more information contact the church 662 378 2344.

Advent will soon be here. Each year as part of our decoration we have poinsettias placed in honor or memory of a friend or love one. The poinsettias are $15.00 each. Homecoming is over, but we have some other good things planned for our August camp meeting Sundays. This Sunday our special guests will be James Clark and his daughter SaraGrace. James plays banjo and bag pipes. We hope you will join us Sunday morning for worship. Everyone is welcome.
